I've done BC before, very successfully for me, I lost 10lbs and it stayed off! And then Covid. Angry
I recognised a horrible level of stress & anxiety within myself, so I consciously allowed myself tv & sugar, & gained a stone. Whilst I absolutely forgive myself for that, I want to move on. That includes fitting into ALL of my Summer clothes.
So we're starting BC Monday, which I'm really looking forward to.
Thank you so much to all the BC leaders & regulars, you have all been so wonderful.

My problem is; Apart from my 1 successful attempt, I've never been able to stick to BC since! I tried again after Christmas but failed again.
I do think there's a mental place I need to be in, and I'm there today. But how do you keep going?

So I'm asking fellow bootcampers, what ONE tip would you recommend?

If you have more than one, could you put it in separate posts pls, I want to collate ideas & see which tips get repeated most.

TIA.Grin

jellycat which bread do you use?

Jellycatspyjamas · 22/04/2021 16:28

If you google Seriously Low Carb they do bread, rolls and other bits. The bread is perfect for toast or a sandwich, sort of like a seeded loaf. It’s expensive so not for every day use but being able to have a bacon sarnie or burger definitely makes this way of eating easier.

I have a bread recipe, as I am in Ireland and can't get online low carb bread (I think) so I'll post here if I get round to making it.

I need to have something spicy.
For when I'm absolutely desperate.
Similarly I also need a something salty.
For when I need salt.

Homemade Spicy chickpeas.
Or M&S Jalapeno Giant Corn.

Work out a better solution, for whatever your Achilles heel is.
It may not be perfect, but it's better than ..... the 4 packets of baked cheese and onion crisps I may have previously eaten, or the 6 toffiffee, that I would have previously shoved in my gob.

My best diet tip is bath bombs! I like to take long baths with nice products and sheet masks, play music or prop my iPad up on the top of the loo and watch a film. There’s no temptation to snack when you’re in the bath.

Andi2020 · 27/04/2021 21:57

I second washing teeth prevents the snacking
@Covid10lbs I'm also in Ireland I'm useless at baking so couldn't attempt your bread.
Also I find it helpful to follow the thread on my breaks keeps me motivated

Fiona iPad on the loo! I haven't tried that. Yet.

Dh is not convinced by the "bath bridges" that I've find on which you can support an iPad or phone Wink I'm still going to get one

Don't relent @prettybird! I had to get a tripod stand for the side of the bath. Visitor asked to use the loo and it must have looked like we were making home movies...
MrsFionaCharming · 22/05/2021 00:11

DH bought me a bath table, I’m too scared to put my iPad on it and have continued to put it on the loo.

Stay busy.
Coffee with Almond milk and a splash of double cream.
Marmite cheese.
Tuna salad with lots of mayo
Corned beef fried in butter with sauerkraut and chunks of cheddar cheese
Brussels sprouts in the microwave with loads of butter and cheese

I lost a stone and a half in four months.
