21 today! Wink

Hope that you have a lovely day. It's a cold one Darn Sarf so I'm sure it's even colder for you, but hope that doesn't interfere with your plans

Lots of virtual Gin Wine Cake.

And Flowers of course!

Happy Birthday! I hope you've had a lovely day Thanks

prettybird · 07/04/2021 10:59

Thank you for all the birthday greetings. I had a lovely day with lots of bubbly, 4 sets of friends/family in succession for chilly bubbly out on the patio and then a lovely meal in the evening of a melt-in-the-month piece of beef filet rolled in herbs and served with a bottle of 91 Grange SmileWine

The Othello cake was suitably rich and squidgy (what my Danish grandmother would have called a "slosh" cake Wink). Not need to cut up some slices to deliver to local friends Smile

For the Georg Jensen fans on here (looking at you @Ninkanink Wink) these are my presents from dh and my dad: Dad's was the vintage Jensen silver bangle (he thinks it's about 50/60 years old - I need to check out the silver marks), and the set of Marguerite daisy jewellery is from dh. Truly spoilt Smile

Oh how wonderful!! 😍😍😍

I love the Daisy jewellery, it’s such a timeless classic.

Amazing!! Super bonus points for your Dad. Jensen and vintage?! Star

I could definitely eat some of that Othello cake now Grin

Ninkanink · 07/04/2021 12:01

Yes the vintage bangle is fantastic too. Lots of gold stars for your DF and DH, they did well!

Ninkanink · 07/04/2021 12:05

I was so excited by the jewellery that I completely missed the other celebration photos! I absolutely love your tablecloth (have seen it before, of course, but never commented on it specifically) and I spy a Georg Jensen candle holder too! I have the same one. 😊

The food looks great and the cake looks divine.

🥂🍾

Happy birthday Glitterball

@Ninkanink - the tablecloth is Greek handmade lace from a wee mountain village called Keria on Levkas, which we were able to go to one of the years that we hired a car (as opposed to latterly, push bikes) during our holiday on Meganissi. It cost a fortune - but the Greek ladies staying in our hotel said we'd got a bargain as it's really big (and it fitted the table that my db had made us - which was just as well as I "measured" it mentally and thought it looked big enough Shock) and very fine work. It's desperately needing a wash but I'll only do that in the summer when I can sun bleach dry it.
