Low carb high fat or low carb low fat?

I’ve been eating LOTS of eggs and cheese and mayo and feel a bit sick now and haven’t lost as much as I was hoping. I don’t understand the science of LCHF and how the body starts burning fat but thought that surely lowering my fat intake would speed up the weight loss? Confused
Why isn’t it melting away?!Angry

Hi, I can’t answer your question but why don’t you come into the boot camp thread and ask there. Loads of knowledgeable people :) if lost 6 stone on LCHF but still don’t truly understand how!

As ilovecherries suggests, come and ask your question on the current (Week 2) Boot Camp thread as there are lots of knowledgable people there.

Iirc, you need the fat for HFLC Boot Camp to work because once you are keto/fat adapted, if you eat plenty of fat, your body relaxes, knowing there is plenty of fat around, so instead of storing it (as yet more fat), uses your body fat as the must accessible source of energy Smile Can't remember the exact science of it - but I did/do like the imagery that one Boot Camper came up with. We are trying to encourage our bodies to "dine in" Wink
