I am no expert but I would say no you're not eating too much, but you should be eating lunch - three meals a day is important if you're following the boot camp approach.

Also you need to ditch the peppers unless they're green, and ideally swap onions for shallots, and be careful about eating too much processed meat, so go easy on the bacon. Some people also find too much dairy stalls them on this way of eating, so might be worth keeping an eye on the cheese and cream.

Hopefully someone wiser than me will be along soon!

Thanks lisbapalea. I was thinking the cream and cheese was too much. Will cut out the cream. Going to try fish For breakfast. Will stick to just green peppers. I'm so afraid doing it all wrong and gaining weight. Smile

How long have you been following the plan Proud? In the early days it often feels a lot and rather decadent!

Follow the BC food list and trust it for a minimum of 2wks before you worry about tweaking anything. Your body needs to adapt to using fat as its primary fuel so you will tend to get some rather odd weight swings at first. Often the first thing people realise is the inch loss so be sure to take some measurements to give you a better guide than the scales.

As lisba says, you are supposed to start out on 3 meals. The idea is to stop you getting hungry as you start to adapt and to stop any snacking. I don't notice any snacks listed so maybe you are coping. I agree about the peppers. I think the coloured ones are better added back in at a later stage. Shallots have only half the carb of onions but do try and get the long eschallion ones. Life is far too short to be peeling and chopping those daft little round ones. When I cook for the family and I'm in a rush I do tend to just use a medium sized normal onion as one onion spread round several people is hardly a carb-fest!

Some people can eat loads of dairy but its one of the places to look if you stall. When you are starting out just eat stuff off the list and see how you get on. You may need to cut it out or down later but I don't see the reasoning in cutting out right at the start. I think you will probably feel less need to consume it in quantity as you get into burning fat.

Opinions vary regarding processed meat. Its nothing to do with the LC plan as long as you are buying stuff that isn't sweet cured or processed with some form of sugar. Its more about the nitrites in processed meats and if they pose a health risk.

What are you drinking? you really must follow the guidelines for fluids or you will stop your body breaking down the fat.

Hope this helps.

Thank you miffy :) I'm drinking water and odd sip of coke zero because I need it or I will really miss it and feel deprived Confused
I really don't feel need for three meals as cooked breakfast keeps me full to evening. I was really missing tea so I bought soya whole bean to put in it and I'm drinking it now... Is that ok?
I was away all day and we wanted an Indian as it is my birthday tomorrow I used slim rice zero carbs zero sugar. . I got chicken jalfrezi I read it only has 3.5 carbs half portion and tandoori chicken. Have I really messed up?
How much water should I be drinking as I'm finding it hard to drink lots? I'm actually weighing 3 lbs lighter this morning Grin
