Yes, he left 2 years ago today - on mothers day. Big shock at first, major stressy divorce and lots of unpleasant discoveries (try £60 odd K debt ) along the way. But I am free of him (except the twatish beahviour relating to the DC but it's not on a dialy basis now). So i am free and I am happy.
Would just like to meet someone nice now - been celibate too long!

But to those of you who it has just happened to - life does get better!!!

ha ha! like your post. Funnily enough, I left my asshole of an x on the 4th of July. It is Independence day for me now. I celebrated the anniversary last year by taking the children to the zoo. This year we will do something nice as well. 4th of July is always going to be a day for me. Feels more emotional than my birthday. I will always measure my life in how many 4th of julys it is since I escaped.

it's been nearly 2 and 1/2 years on 26th september for me

8 years for me, this summer. Am remarried, as friendly as you can be with ex, but I still remember. Cannot believe what I used to put up with. Hope I have grown from the experience - ex hasn't, still behaving the same way he did then, only now he just looks like a stupid old fool.

i meant that on the 26th of this month it will be 2 and 1/2 years
