thinking of joining spice to look for fun things to do on my odd day off. Anyone else got experiences of this group? how have you found it?

I love Spice! It's like all these things, you get out of it what you put in, it's a great way of meeting people and the list of activities is endless (although I have to admit to sticking mainly to the social events, the mad Center Parcs weekends and summer balls). I found different groups of people went for different events, I didn't quite gel with one or two crowds but found others are on completely the same wave length.

Definitely give it a go if you've time away from your little ones, it will give your social life a great boost.

I like Single With Kids for days out with my DC. Days out are on their website www.singlewithkids.co.uk

They do single parent holidays too.

I haven't looked at Spice. Do they just do days out? With or without DC?

Elasta..I was looking at this too! My friend joined when she moved from London to Edinburgh, she said it was ok, didn't gel with a lot of the people but found the whole thing pleasant enough.

I joined last summer, but left when I had a serious boyfriend to occupy my child-free nights instead! Was fun while it lasted, though.

I joined when I was single. I found some of the activities fun and unusual, they did themed meals out, archery, walking days and holidays including ski holidays.

Some of the stuff was good, but I have to say on the social events the men were a bit odd, and on a walking holiday there was only one bloke and he was someones hubby ( and was a bit odd as they always seemed overly keen to get us into their room when he had no top on)

Join if you fancy having things to do, but don't expect you will meet any nice men.
