What to wear on a first date?

Lunchtime drink in a pub - are jeans and high heels to casual or smart trousers? I don't possess skirts!

i have a first date this weekend, pub lunch so will be wearing similar i reckon

am sure you'll be fine....i know what you mean, it's that initial first saying hello and then thinking what to say to start the conversation going.

try and think about it as though you are just meeting a friend rather than potential partner.

spend a little bit of time getting ready if you can.....if you feel that you look good, that will help too.

if it doesn't go well, you aren't really losing anything and you may gain a friend if nothing else.

I was nervous on my first proper date but bought myself a new top and spent time getting ready. i think of date snow as if you don't end up disappearing over the horizon hand in hand, then at leats you've met some nice new people an dpossible new friends. Good luck! Remember being nervous is half the fun!

It depends. PROPERLY assess your jeans. If they are light blue, collecting kids in jeans - no. If dark coloured and well fitted, yes - with a nice top.

And if his name is John, and he's from nottingham, don't bother because he will dump you with no explaination after 2 weeks of proclaiming his 'growing feelings' and taking you to meet his mother.
