dating - does inviting a man for dinner at your place = invitation to have sex??!

Have met a very nice bloke through internet dating. Last did "dating" whilst at university so really feel new to the whole thing!

We've been out on a few dates, met in town for drinks / dinners / walks. So what is the next step?

Do I now invite him to mine for a meal? don't know why I am not sure about this, like I say perhaps it's because i'm new to it all, but it would be nice to have a more relaxed and, erm, private setting. But it's early days and we're taking things slowly.

does inviting someone back to your house = an invitation to stay the night / have sex??! Don't want him to get the "wrong" idea - don't really know what I want yet, but it feels like a big step to invite him into my home, IYSWIM.

thanks Reality. Personally I'm hanging out for a shag, but this guy is taking a rather chivalrous, take it slowly, old-fashioned approach so don't want to scare him off!!

no.

he might try it on. cant blame him. but if hes put out at being told no.

send him firmly out on his ear. turfted and yanked on the way.

even spending the night is not always a guarantee he will get sex. but for this i'd state that sex wouldn't be on cards if you ere inviting him to stay the night. then he wont be disappointed.

Yes he may think it or may not. Either way it's up to you.

Have fun. I met dp online dating and he's brilliant so hope your guy is the one for you too
