My Birthday today and not one present.
No card from DS1 and DS2 because xp didn't have time to take them to a shop sunday, despite them saying they spent 4 hours on comp or DS's!

DD1 and DD2 raided my box of cards to write me one this morning.

We ran out of loo roll tonight so i had to cycle the mile to the shops in the rain! Grapped some chocolate and 2 bottles of Budwieser while i was there lol!

you may have a long wait for unwanted easter eggs - even the cheap ones get scoffed here, never a drop spare.

my kids do know me as a chococakeaholic - that may not be a real word....but it should be - and so they usually let me have one of theirs when mine are long gone.

am known to have an afinity with homer simpson - tho not with the combover

singledadofthree · 06/04/2009 23:50

allright

on your birthday? till wednesday? ouch time

Tortoise · 06/04/2009 23:51

They are pretty good at sharing their choc.

Chococakeaholic is a good word! lol!
Would make a good MN nickname too.

Yeah labour from the 6th in the eve until early hours of the 8th! Blame my Mum. She said i couldn't give birth on the 7th as her Dad died on that date.

Hi tortoise,
single parents of a number of years
I always organise a birthday lunch out
for myself in a very child friendly pub or restuarant
Then a special treat in the afternoon we all enjoy.
In the evening a family type film, treats and a nice glass of chablis [only have it then and new years eve]
I love it much better than being with a miserable git.
Organise it in advance - dont depend on your ex - and enjoy

Tortoise · 07/04/2009 17:00

Twicebitten That's a lovely idea but wouldn't be cheap with my lot! May try and organise something in advance next year though!
