I feel I need to do some training and get my life on track. I really want to get a job that I can have weekends and school holidays off.

Teaching or teaching assistant are the obvious choices but not sure if I woulod be suited to those jobs.

So just wondering if anyone else has got a job that is decent money and fits in well with dc's.

I am a mangement consultant. Love the work but the commuting / tavelling is killing me. i get up at 5.30am to do dogs and horses, get kids up at 7, leave at 7.30pm and getback around 7pm. Day in day out. Our snow days have been bliss as my road to work has been closed

flubdub - yes dt is all the subjects you mentioned. The thing s I'm not sure if I would like to teach primary or secondary but do not think dt would be much more fun to study for a degree then english or science.

Mutt - that would be an option when dd is at school as I have done alot of office and admin work but really feel that I would like a change, also I really want to use this time while dd is young to study and become mor educated. As when I left school I could not wait to go to work and make some money, but now I feel I would like to have a degree and learn more.

elastamum - that really sounds like hard work, and if you are a single mum doing that you sound like superwoman....
