What do you call your ex?

What 'nickname' do you call your ex, or have him/her programmed in to your phone as?

Mine is 'The Dementer' from Harry Potter as, like the character, he sucks the life and joy out of everyone!

What's yours?

I don't have ds's dad on my phone, I don't know his number. I just say 'your dad' to ds if he wants to talk about him.

lushpot · 27/01/2009 16:50

ginger tosser although thats bein unfair to a tosser !! just hearin his voice winds me up fortunately my 17 year old agrees with me so i dont hav to hide it anymore !!!!

GumsNRoses · 27/01/2009 16:52

Numpty Twunt not that he ever bothers ringing, in fact has not seen Dd since 2002.

12StoneNeedsToBe10 · 27/01/2009 16:53

He's in my phone by his first name (with ringtone "People are strange" by The Doors) but (when DS is not around) he's known as knobhead.

mummyfantastico · 27/01/2009 20:01

He is first name arse and OW is slaggy first name.

mummyfantastico · 27/01/2009 20:01

I like to think he calls me his wonderful XW who is perfect in every way and he should never have treated so badly

skramble · 27/01/2009 23:33

"Fannybaws" or "silly little man" and she is just "her"

Mamazon · 27/01/2009 23:34

he is in my phone by his initial. i couldn't even force myself to type his full name.

he is cunt when talking to my friends but always daddy in front of the children

WheresTheAuPair · 27/01/2009 23:47

He is in my phone as 'His Lordship' thanks to his controlling manner and opinion that the world should revolve to suit his own needs entirely. My mum calls him 'The Nobody' or 'That Thing'

He's in my phone as 'Twat' and has been for almost a year. Tried to put him in by his first name a few months ago, but it just didn't feel right. Always 'Daddy' to DD though, particularly now she's 19 months and has a tendency to repeat everything. Can't imagine 'Hello Daddy Twat' would do much to enhance the very fragile co-parenting relationship. He's 'him' to my parents and 'wanker' to my friends, although my best friend reserves the right to refer to him as 'vile little wanker'.

lostdad · 28/01/2009 10:26

I refer to as `DS's Mother' because despite all she has done (and will no doubt do) I respect her as our son's mother.

If I disrespected her I'd be showing a fundamental disrespect for him.

My conscience is clear.

frapp · 28/01/2009 12:48

I'm not as innocent as lostdad so we refer to her as 'slunt' (half of each of our favourite names for exw).

lostdad · 28/01/2009 14:11

Innocent?

Naaahh. I'm one of your common or garden variety abusive and controlling exs' (you know - one who fights for his child's right to have two parents) by dragging his ex through court' just to get at her.

Whatever she does, she is still his mum though. I hope that one day she'll realise I'm still his dad, but I'm not holding my breath.

elmoandella · 28/01/2009 15:23

we dont all drag them thru court. i'm trying to avoid at all costs to drag exdp thru that.

regardless he's an abusive stalker with an addiction

takes ALOT of patience and counting to ten though

Leslaki · 29/01/2009 13:03

It;s not always the woman with custody who does hte dragging through court bit you know!!! My ex ain't interestd in the kids apart from when his nw wants to 'play' at being mummy - they have NO respect for me as the children's mother - none at all and have physically (as well as emotionally) put my dc in danger. But no, he's not going to court to fight for the kids. he is going to court over money. He earns £70k pa and she works f/t. he hasn't paid maintenance and was meant to pay the mortgage but 'didn't realise he hadn't been paying it' for 6 months! Now he wants to sell the house, pay off their debts of c.£50k and then me pay him £65k!!! We have about £70k equity btw!!! Oh and I earn £7k pa and bring up our 2 dcs! Can't wait for court hearing!

So..... yes!!! he is a twunt!!!

sleepingwiththeenemy · 29/01/2009 13:11

LostDad...I reserve the absolute right to call him whatever I want to, as he was an abusive controlling bully who is now facing charges and going to trial. So he deserves no respect from me whatsoever.
On the other hand my first husband is called by his name, and I have a very good relationship with him, and wouldn't disrespect him to the children in any way. (However, his OW is referred to as 'The Moose' )

My sister's ex fights for his rights by hiding behind her bins in dark alleys and jumping out on her when she gets home, by slashing her tyres and smashing her rear car window when he gets the chance, and by screaming abuse and peppering her with abusive text messages. Not forgetting the manufactured pornographic pictures of her he sent to her boss, or the allegations of gross misconduct that nearly caused her to lose her job (she is in a very sensitive job). Also he pays not a penny towards his children's keep and insists on seeing them at random times utterly unconnected to the times and days he agreed to.

Like I said, he is a psycho and fully deserving of the name.

wannabe10 · 30/01/2009 10:23

Sorry to be pedantic but shouldn't men be on DADSNET rather than mumsnet. Not sure its proactive on a moany thread to have men saying ........ in my experience........
Oh and I am very pro male. Share access completely with xdh as he is a fantastic dad but he hasn't made my life hell or threatened me. If he did I would reserve the right to call him what I liked.....

macdoodle · 30/01/2009 13:04

gosh yes I must have played the "emotionally abusive card" - am sure its absolutely fine for him to play games using my DC as pawns ranting about access but only as and when it suits him and as soon as I actually need him to stick to it to go to work to support his children (as he contributes NOT a penny) he just doesnt show !!
Yes I too reserve the right to call him what I wish - arsehole being my choice, he has certainly earned it !

helenhismadwife · 30/01/2009 14:50

no dex's then?? I would put mine on here but I know that he reads what I write on here or his mummy does

Rosasmum · 30/01/2009 20:01

T**ser

skramble · 30/01/2009 23:30

I show respect in front of the kids and his parents and refer to him as Daddy, but in my own mind and to my freinds he has a variety of names but never spoken in front of the children at all ever, I think that is the what most posters mean.

JodieO · 31/01/2009 00:16

I don't think men should have to just stay on Dadsnet, isn't the lone parent forum exactly that? Lone parent not lone mum? Just because comments are about the mum and not the dad doesn't mean that people should make it different for them.

I'm a lone parent and had an abusive ex but I call him his name on my phone and I call him Daddy to my children.

sleepingwiththeenemy · 31/01/2009 15:42

I made sure I asked what you call him or her in my opening post...it's certainly not directed at ex husbands/boyfriends. It was meant as a lighthearted thread.
