IllegallyBrunette - is your Mum nearby and someone who will childmind for you????

IllegallyBrunette · 27/10/2008 20:00

Couldn't find any classes on a Friday Phantom, that was the main problem.

I hate being in a room full of people OJ, especially couples. I have a bonfire party to go to soon and am dreading it for that reason.

My mum does live very near but she will already be having my kids for me when I am at work, so I don't feel it's fair to ask her all the time. Plus she works shifts too (will be working her shifts around mine).

My mum doesn't even talk to me anymore!

I hate all that 'coupley' stuff too. Really gets me down so much, I often get chest pains.

Shift over IB, we can drink together. Albeit cyberly

IllegallyBrunette · 27/10/2008 20:11

I am very lucky in that my mum would go without her own social life if it meant I had one.

I often think that I am on the verge of making blowing my top at one of these functions full of couples.

I hate all that couply stuff and I have a bloke to drag along to these things - so I feel for you!!!!

OK - more questions...
Would you feel comfortable employing a babysitter?

Can you drive? Do you have a car?

Do you live in a city, in a town, in the country?

Do you have any passions (I'm not being rude!)?

Do you feel ready to find someone new? (I took a sneaky peak on your profile - WOW WOW WOW - IllegallyBrunette - seriously you are beautiful - if you want a bf or just to go on dates I am sure every man in your area would form an orderly queue and you could just choose whoever you liked!!!!)

Do you want me to stop asking questions and tell you a funny story instead????

IllegallyBrunette · 27/10/2008 20:19

LOL teafortwo, you are funny.

I don't drive yet, I am having lessons and will hopefully be able to drive by next summer.

I live in a town.

Oh and did you click on someone elses prifile by mistake

I would like to meet someone new, but have tried internet dating several times and I only attract men old enough to be my grandad or weirdos.

Sorry for my slow reply - I was on the phone to my friend who's ex hasn't sent the money they need to live!!!!

RAH RAH RAH - Men hey????

I didn't actually have a funny story so I have to think of one now.... ok here goes...

Because I didn?t get in on Saturday night until the same time some people were waking up Sunday Morning I slept until very late on Sunday. When I woke up I realised that what I thought was my daughter snuggling next to me was infact a pillow!?! My daughter had woken up earlier and had had time to organise a little surprise for me - she presented me with a really good drawing! But the biggest surprise was she had also drawn a quite impressive hairy chest and matching hairy belly on her own body! Luckily it came off in the bath!

So... I was thinking - desperately trying to find a link to your situation now.... urrrmmmm.... YES - GOT ONE!!!! If all else fails (completely unlikely but go along with it for the punchline!!!) perhaps, like my dd who had obviously seen me and dh sound sound asleep and said "Ok I am on my own for a while... so....what is the best thing to do?" you could always draw a hairy chest on yourself and if things get really really bad a matching hairy belly!!!! Booom boom!!!! (That is so you know when to laugh)

IllegallyBrunette · 27/10/2008 21:14

ROFL at you and your dd.

Thanks for taking the time to cheer me up, it is really nice of you.

Well my fridge broke today - so it is nice to think about something a bit deeper and less materialistic for a while to be honest!!!

IllegallyBrunette · 27/10/2008 21:19

Oh bummer, fixable ??

I am hungry now.

OP posts:
teafortwo · 27/10/2008 21:26

Well - go eat!!!!! Make sure it is something delicious and wonderful - you deserve it!!!!

Hey, you are the same age as me... we are young, you have lots of living to do, lots of people to meet to have fun with for the rest of our lives or maybe just in passing!!! The World is out there - we just need to sort out how you are going to 'get out there'!!!!

Keep in touch - go eat - I am going to flick to msn - to talk to another friend about this new bloke she met (sexy Policeman) - if it doesn't work out I'll get her to send him your way!!!

PurplePumpkinWitchyOne · 27/10/2008 21:27

Bugger, I've just sat down here with my case of cider, and Most Haunted Live on the telly!!!

Hope your both doing ok IB and TF2?

IllegallyBrunette · 27/10/2008 21:29

Oh, i will hold you to that teafortwo

You are braver than me Purple. I can't watch anything like that when I am on my own.

teafortwo · 27/10/2008 21:36

I am doing fine thanks - I am surfing the net for a new fridge but it is so so boring!!!!

PPWO - don't give yourself nightmares or a hang over.... or both!!!

Good night all!!!! Talk again soon!

PurplePumpkinWitchyOne · 27/10/2008 21:56

Been an MH fan for years. It doesn't give me nightmares cos most of it's staged!
It helps me to immerse myself in crap like that. Takes my mind off the loneliness and deviates from the fact that my phone never rings anymore. Unless it's creditors

Tale it easy TF2.

Ib, hang in there k? I'm certain that once this job takes off, you'll be socialising an awful lot more and meeting new people.
