how hard is it being single with kids

am in the process of leaving my partner & taking my 2 boys 11 months & 2.5 years. I'm not worried how I will cope with ds but the money side of things. He doesn't know I'm leaving so I can't seeing him giving me any as I know what his like. Is it tight?thanx

Quite somply I have half as much money coming in to the house, but strangely I have twice as much to spend as I wish after all the bills and essentials.

Glad you have found the strength to leave and I am sure you will have the stregth to cope, budget every penny keep records of all cash spent and ask for information and advice from every place you can, as they don't all know everything.

great thanx ladies. are you better off if you work part-time or don't work? my boys are still young & have never wanted to put them in nusery but if i will be better off & able to get them the bits they need/like/want then i am prepared to.
