At what age would this be acceptable?

I would like to start dating but as a lone parent I have my children all the time, I have been single for years and deliberately waited until my children have grown up a bit as I had no intentions to ever leave them with sitters (no judgment to others just wasnt something I would consider) they are now teens/ preteens and im considering dating now. Would it be ok to leave them for a couple of hours alone to go on dates in the evening? What age would this be acceptable? Ages 15-9 would it be bad for me to leave them for a few hours so I can start dating and have a social life again?

I would think so with the caveat, how many children, it all depends on how responsible the 15 year old is? My 16 year old is well capable. So we go out all the time.

Just don't make your 15 year old your unpaid baby sitter. They are at an age where their own social life should be important. Obviously your nine year old is too young to leave home alone.

They don’t go out.
