The trick is ... have Basic brown hair to start with, and buy a copper blonde hair dye.

It never ever goes 'copper blonde' (ginger). It goes that colour.

If I buy the ones with that colour on the box, t goes sludgey purply red.

My hair doesn't lift easily, so it needs a lot more bleach than most! and the blonde ranges contain it.

No idea what colour mine is but it's £25 inc. cut and blow dry at the 'blue rinse salon' down the road
