How do people enjoy this every single day?

How do people enjoy this day in and day out? Seriously? My kids have been absolutely vile today, just arguing constantly. Been really nasty to each other constant fighting. Since I picked them up from school they’ve been awful. I have them full time and people tell me “well you wouldn’t have it any other way would you” well actually yes I would. I would love a weekend to myself this weekend with how awful they’ve been today. Just constant bickering.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Dinner, bath and early to bed when they're like this won't hurt op, start again in the morning.

They are teens. Zero chance of them going to bed at this time unfortunately.

Would be funny to try tho 😂.

Seriously OP hang in there! Not too long to go with the difficult bit.

I've been a LP for 12 years now. Not quite in the teen years yet but always taken it a day at a time and have my own projects to focus on to keep me sane (business and work stuff, personal interests) - just a few mins here and there to focus on it and have a kind of background plan going on.

Perhaps a glass of wine might help!?

Thinking of you!

Oh dear 😂 no I can see that, why not put yourself to bed early instead, leave them to it x

I agree, sometimes you need to walk away!

Let them see you are tired and upset, let them take care of you.

Put it in the group chat - I’m off to bed, I’m not feeling well, if anyone makes a drink please bring me one.

Then hide under the covers with your book!

I hear you op! I’m a lone parent with a teen. I just go to bed and ignore him 😂😂

GoldenCookie · 21/03/2025 20:56

I sometimes do leave them to it but I have things to do and hate being forced up to my room. They just really been awful today they normally don’t get on but today was just horrible.

I hear you op. Mine are 7 and 4 and have been bloody hard work the last two days. I had a good cry about it after putting them to bed yesterday.
Tomorrow is a new day. It was a 7pm bedtime for mine, as thankfully they are little, so early tea, bath, bed here.

GoldenCookie · 21/03/2025 21:00

Unfortunately they are at each other’s throats every day. They just don’t get on very opposites.
