Ex not replying to CMS/CSA letters, what happens next?

I’ve applied to child maintenance for my 11 year old daughter. Her Dad doesn’t take anything to do with her. They have all his info such as address and work place and figures etc but he has not replied to the letters they have sent him. I called them and they said something about work and that it usually makes them call but it wasn’t till I came off the phone that I didn’t actually take in what he was saying lol. Can someone explain what happens next and how long does it take?

With my ex they just went straight for collect and pay because he wasnt responding to letters, however I can’t say how long it will take as he is on benefits so not sure about if they are working

That’s maybe what they meant. Does that just mean it comes straight from his wages before he receives them?

Its been so long ago I can't remember how long it took with ex for me. However if you go down the collect and pay route there are charges and ex responded quickly and said he'd do it direct CMS route. How long has it been OP? Chase them again.
