I ring them up today to find out what the delay is and they have lost them! This relates to payments that will be backdated from September and I desperately need the money. I found it rather hard to keep my temper They had no explination and offered no apology. How can they just lose things like that and not realise for two months?? I am having a bad week anyway but this has just made it so much worse. In these circumstances what can I do? Should I just ask ex dp for the money direct? I can't wait any longer for what will be quite a substantial amount to me

Is it possible for your ex to get copies done from work?
CSA are usless!

You can get them copied from his work - by asking him alternatively, if you wish the matter to go to court for an order of maintenance to be made, they will draw up an 'interim order' something to get you by in the meantime, assuming you can prove you need the funds.

It would mean instructing a solicitor but if you're short on funds due to lack of maintenance and inability to work yourself, i.e small children, you may be entitled to LEGAL AID.

Good luck.

CSA claim to loose a lot of things. My last bf sent a letter re varying his payment along with his payment cheque for his daughter, they claimed not to have received his letter, yet they managed to bank the cheque! They couldn't offer an explanation either.

The payslips are probably sitting in someones in tray. Phone them daily until they deal with it, have they found them, have the written asking for copies etc. Take the name and note the date time and name of the person you spoke to on each occassion.

Only way to get quicker results with CSA is to be on their back the whole time.

I have just been signed off sick for two weeks and am due to start maternity leave after that so the money would come in handy. I just don't understand why I have to fight so hard to money I am entitled to ffs . I also feel for ex dp because by the time this is sorted out he will have a big backlog of payments built up

Hopefully he will have calculated what he will be expected to pay and have been putting money aside. Otherwise he will be in for a shock. You can always suggest to him that he makes some payment based on the CSA calculator page on their website which he can then have deducted from the backpayments. He can even send it via the CSA if he is worried they might not accept he has paid it. If he isn't willing to pay some now then that might help you feel less sorry for him!
