I haven't killed anyone yet, or had any absolutly major disasters. The kids are always clean, fed and clothed, homework gets handed in on time and the kids are generally happy and ok.

So I think I will give myself a pat on the back for once

Have another pat on the back and another drink..my daughter is a single parent to 2 beautiful boys and does a fantastic job without much help from their dickhead dad I take my hat off to all single mums

I thought I was gonna fall apart after having dd3 as it was the first time I would have to deal with a baby completely alone plus dd1and2 but I am enjoying it for some reason. I like not having anyone around so I dont have to feel pee'd off when they aren't pullin there weight which is how it was when my eldest two were born.

Nutty its was u n me talkin a while bk about careers I rememeber u were about to start in sept too.. I started some councelling course the year before but went there twice and sacked it off coz I wasn't ready and wasn't sure still what I wanted to do. I figured out that I want to go into secondry teachin this time and stuck with it You weren't ready this time IIRC but maybe in the future u will. Instead your being a fantastic mother singlehanded to your three gorgeous\children its alll good!!

Lou, I will be on your case for advice when Dd1 turns into a horrible teen , I think you have done a fab job.

I have had xp and someone else tell me that I was the one fucking the children up, but in reality they are mostly well balanced, well be haved kids. Plus they are alot more relaxed and comfortable than they were when i was with xp and everyone was walking on egg shells the whole time.

You're doing a bloody fantastic job you're right to gove yourself a pat on the back! I would find it so hard to cope on my own. Here's to Nutty and Lou and all the other single parents out there .

nutty, i feel the same about mine. yes they get told off and act up sometimes, but the general atmosphere is so much lighter now then when exh was here
