Okay so despite dunderhead leaving over 6 months ago it has taken me ages to get everything sorted, all utilities, rent, bank accounts etc.
Biggest problem has been changing the internet provider account. No kidding, I am now cut off from home thank to them putting the control into his hands. Of course he was going to make sure it was as difficult as possible as data protection meant I couldn't discuss the account.
Be warned, if you don't get it sorted amicably then (certainly my provider) will take 30 days to "sort it out." So that is 30 days before I can get back online at home rather than the library (one hour per session allowed), plus however long to get another provider. I am totally cut-off from my support network and he knows it and is enjoying it greatly. In my letter to them (name and shame - Tiscali) I have pointed out that they are the only ones who wouldn't directly transfer names, that they have allowed him to control my internet access. It is just very frustrating.
So much for technology, it is back to sending letters to them!
I won't get back online now until Monday and as I do most of my studying online that is where it will hurt most.
