Father requesting for birth certificate

I'm having some difficulty with my childs father and he's now randomly asked for childs birth certificate which he is on. Why would he want this ? I asked he didn't tell me

In theory they do, but only about 1% are actually checked. A court order specifically prevents that child from being removed from the country.

I don't use this account often sorry. I just wanted to update that he was trying to make a child element claim with universal credit.

Me ex wanted it as he needed it to raise court action against me for contact. Don't give him it let him buy a copy from the registry office

hi, my son is 5 and I am not with the mother. She is very controlling and I have asked for my sons birth certificate, she asked why and I told her it was so I could open him a bank/savings account (bank specifically told me they needed the original). I am on his certificate. I explained that as I am due to have a child with my wife, I’d like to ensure I can open both of them one.

she’s refusing to answer messages confirming that she’ll provide it.

does she have to give me it?
