Racist or not

Straightforward question is this racist or not

A white British parent telling a first immigrant parent non white (whom they share a child with) that it if they were to leave the country it would be much easier.

The context is clearly an argument.

Avoiding to say which parent is which to avoid bias!

Yes no what do you think

@Kanaloa

I don’t understand what’s actually happened. Is it that the white parent has said to their immigrant partner ‘my life would be better if you went back to x’ during an argument? If so that’s nasty. Or is it the white partner saying that life is easier in that country?

Yeah, I assumed it was plural they (as a couple/family they'd be better off). Why would you not clarify that op, that is going to change the outcome of responses. There's no consensus, so you're not going to get any meaningful responses. Also not enough context, either way.

Yes. I'm non white, and would feel that it was racist, of course it is. And I would expect the person that I love enough, and who professed to love me enough, to have a child together to understand. And if the white partner refuses to see it, it's not only racist but abusive
