Father's day - ex not interested

Anyone else's kids not seen their dad today as he couldn't be bothered? Told the kids just to phone him. My youngest got upset in class on Friday as they were making father's day cards, he told the teacher his dad didn't want to see him so he didn't want to make a card. He made a welcome card for our new dog instead.

They deserve so much better.

I didn't want to read and run. I'm so sorry, their dad sounds like a total arse. How old are your kids?

Your ds is learning. My ds nade one at beavers once and gave it to his teacher .. she was very touched.. it was her first father's day card.

Kids work it out xx

I've had this today, been so difficult. Ex husband abandoned son last year. He made a card for me at school. It's been hideous for him. Some parents are just absolute arseholes. I'm sorry your DS is going through this bless him.

DS is 10 and DD is 14. DD wouldn't even speak to him. She hadsn't spoken more than a few words at the door with him for nearly 2 years.
It's awful to see how resigned they are to having a crap dad.
