Limited company - child maintenance

My ex has a limited company and pays himself a shoestring salary, receiving the rest in dividends etc. He pays maintenance already but hardly the same amount as what he would he pay if he was PAYE.

I was so desperate to get out of the marriage that I didn't fight.

What are the CSA like to deal with? My solicitor has told me that I need to contact them initially to get the ball rolling. Can they access his accounts (that are freely available on companies house)?

You need to make sure that ex pays tax on the dividends. I have the same situation with my ex, CMS advised me that if he does pay tax they will be able to calculate the full amount that he pays himself. If he doesn't pay tax on the dividends you may end up with less if they can only use the PAYE amount.
