Signs they’d become an absent parent...

Just that really, whether the father or mother were there any signs that they’d become absent parents (or anything less than EOW/some consistency) and if so what were they?

None whatsoever. Very involved hands on dad, we have not seen him in years.

If there was a strange thing to him was that he had a very flexible memory.

After we broke up, it became clear he wouldn’t be involved. Like saying he couldn’t see them on days that he planned to because it was raining

Nope none. Planned children, he did nappies, feeds etc. Then met ow, moved away. Does eow and people who spoke to him during that time asked me if the kids had been planned as his attitude was so off. His narrative now is that he was somehow trapped or manipulated and wasn't in control of his life and that's why he left. Standard script.

He didn't see them as his responsibility. Never got up with them in the night. Never got up with them in the mornings.
He complained at mediation when the officer said he should see them on a weekend morning. His weekends were for lie ins 🤷‍♀️.

Absolutely no sign whatsoever. Appeared to be a fantastic dad, would have not stayed married to him for as long otherwise. Then he **ed off to to live 200 miles away, has not been to a single parents evening, is not interested about what school she goes to, and more recently won't see her at weekends because I won't do a 3 hour round trip on Fridays and Sundays. If you had seen him with her before he left, you'd never have believed it.
