Hi ladies,

I've just come out of a relationship, which is still very raw so just wanting to hear of some positives to bringing up your children without a man. I've been hurt too many times now so just going to concentrate on my two littles ones and hopefully have a stress free life! 🤞🏻 xx

I've been a single parent for 12 years. I've loved it. I remember when we first split up and the feeling of freedom was like the wind lifted me gently into the air. There is no stress free life, but I've had a low stress time bringing my daughter up and now she is a wonderful teenager.

Congratulations on your new life.

Stay positive. I love having the bed to myself and not having the passive aggressive huffs over my parenting.

It is full of highs and lows. If you can co parent and work together that is a real positive.

Ex has no input into the children's lives other than his eow. It is hard being the one to make decisions and shoulder all the responsibility. But has its rewards. The children are flourishing because of me. Long may it last.

I've never been with my son's father since early in the pregnancy, we've always done it on our own (with support of family). He's only 15 months but I think a big positive is the close relationship we have because I can parent him in the way he needs without having to worry about upsetting a partner or negotiating things with them eg he's still breastfeeding, we co sleep. I think we will always be close as it's always been him and me as a little team.
