Hi there, does anyone know when I might be changed over to universal tax credits? I currently work 18 hrs per week and claim working and child tax credits.

Thank you

Anytime between 2020-2023

Thank you! I haven't heard great things about it so I'm a bit apprehensive!

Try save some money to help tide you over... 6 weeks is a long time to wait for your first payment & they do offer you an advance loan but you have that deducted every payment, it's not fun but if you prepare it might not be that bad for you

Thanks for the advice!

How do you know when you'll be switched?

You don’t yet, at some point they will let people know what areas/circumstances are moving at what time.

They are starting a pilot in Harrogate in July 2019.

It may be you don’t have to wait the 5 weeks for your first payment. When migration happened from Universal Live to Full Service it was done so the new payment date tied in with their current one.
