Just a massive hug and Flowersfor everyone flying solo out there - you are loved even if your little ones are too young to tell you and you don’t get breakfast in bed! X

My 3 ds's gave me 2 boxes of chocolates, they have eaten the one that was reduced to clear and opened and tested the others, they then farted in my bed so we got up 😂. In fairness it was only the 2 and 4 year olds that did the above and they have told me that i am pretty so that makes it alright!

Happy Mother’s Day. It can be so hard feeling like everything is down to you, day in and day out. Today is our day.

Thank you, was just looking at other threads of mums complaining about not getting the right card or days not working well with their traditionally structured families. And wondered why I cared so much about those things when I was in their position.

I didn’t get anything today because “it’s not my birthday” but I’m here sitting in bed eating the breakfast my teen just brought to me. I know that what took the biggest effort was to get out of bed at this incredibly early time on a weekend.

I expect a good day, just about to head out with another family of two for a day away from the crowds. I am sure we will have a good time Smile

Have a great day as well, and a Star. We deserve it!

Ds 22 is taking me out to lunch today, his idea. I never promoted Mother’s Day as I don’t get on with my Mum, but he has taken it in himself which to me makes it genuine. Enjoy your day everyone

And to you Flowers my 12 year old is banging around in the kitchen and I know she bought me a card that I will love because she has told me 17 times. Hope you all have lovely days. The housework can wait till tomorrow.

My DS had the intention of making me breakfast in bed (then forgot it was Mother's Day but that's fine, last year I got a banana and water)
But yesterday he said he wanted to get me something really nice because I'm a mum on my own with no help. He spent his own £2 on some flowers for me Flowers Grin

My first mother’s day as a single Mum. My eldest (5) made me breakfast in bed of ice cream and sandwichesGrin and then ‘did’ the washing up.

Happy mother’s day everyone. Hope everyone has time for a peaceful Wine or Cake or Brew this evening.

Happy Mother's Day! A few years ago I didn't think I would ever get to be a mum after years of infertility. I used to find Mother's Day so hard. I feel so fortunate that I've now got two children. I will be thinking of couples who are going through the same thing. I hope everyone has a lovely day

No sign of dd 16 yet today. I will go and drag her out of bed soon because she needs to revise for her mocks tomorrow. I am not expecting a card or present and ex p (quite reasonably) hasn't reminded her /bought it for her for the first time. She's 16 and has a part time job and more disposable income than me but she is really shit at presents.

I don't take md very seriously but it might have been nice to have a card. I've bought myself a chocolate orange to cheer myself up!

Happy Mother's Day to everyone!

DS (4 today) and I went to Sainsbury's and he chose me flowers, he made me a biscuit at nursery and two cards, one at nursery and one at playgroup. Given it's his birthday and actually all about him I think I'm doing alright!
