Advice on telling kids we are separating !!

Need to tell the kids very soon that we are separating and moving to new homes.

It depends how old they are.
I just told my Ds that I had to go back to work and work was in another town so we had to find a closer house. But he was only 3 and his dad had always been pretty hands-off so he didn't really mind. A lovely childminder made the transition better.
