Religion and parental responsibility

I'm currently going through the legal process to sort out contact between my son and his father. I would like to have him christened soon, the problem is that I am a practicing christian and the father of my child is a lapsed catholic who doesnt attend church. He is on the birth certificate which means he has parental responsibility - can he stop me from having my son christened in my faith?

If he has PR then it does need to be discussed with him as he's supposed to have an equal say in which religion your ds follows. If you can't agree between you he has the option of asking the Court to decide, but that would be a last resort.

Yes, at least he has the right to challenge you by making an application to the court for a specific issue order.
