Advice on CMS payments and new partners

Hi iv been reading up on CMS payments etc and have noticed that Child tax credits is taken in to account.

My ex is having a baby and I really wouldn't want my claim to take her money into account.

Also my partner is moving is next week and do not want to be giving his ex 20% of my child tax creadits.

I have also read that a claim can go down due to children living with paying parents which I also think Is wrong

Can anyone help me with this? Is there a way to stop my exes partners CTC claim to be involved with my claim eventhough no payments have started as he's not willing to pay for them

And my CTC to my safe from my partners ex as she gets £170 already

If your ex has a baby or moves in with a woman with kids then your maintenance goes down. Sorry but that is the rules. If they have a second child then it goes down again. Unfortunately the only way that this changes is if you or your ex earns more than the tax credit threshold.

Child tax credit is dependent on income and maintenance isn't counted as income because not everyone gets it consistently.

It wasn't about my ex this it was about my partners ex and CTC however iv come to learn that the people who have a portion of their CTC being taken into account are those that had claims during the days CSA. And CMS does not take CTC into account
