Grandparents - How annoying!!!

My exp's mum just rang up my mum asking over dd, which I find really annoying. You would think they would call me to see when they can come next, after all Im the one that has to sit there with them, and its my house they're coming into!! And they never call me even if we havent had an awkward visit. Anyone else find their dd/s's grandparents annoying?

My dear MIL, she won't ring my family even if they are dieing, but has similar attitude in a way: DH is going to Spain on his own to visit her and told her I can't go because I'm working in my dissertation, and she answers "I don't care what's her problem (mine), I need to see my grandson, you have to bring him with you"

She loose even more points after that... now she needs to ask if we can receive her if she wants to come to visit... stupid MIL

YES!!!! Mine always made arrangements with DH to call in & never ever checked with me. What really grated (& still does 18 years on) was them turning up the day we came out of hospital with each new baby, for an evening visit, from about 7pm to 10 pm. DH never says no to them & they always asked him rather than me.
