well i think that would be better then people accusing me of stuff

OP posts:
quietmouse · 27/02/2007 18:47

why is it just because he's a bloke people think they can be all sarcy and horrible?

J20BABY · 27/02/2007 18:47

dont worry mr confidenceman, some do get a little suspicious, but get more accepting after you've been here a couple of weeks or months, maybe years

SaintGeorge · 27/02/2007 18:48

CM - you can use the word hun if you want, but don't be surprised if some people comment. Nothing personal just that a lot of people, as Mhamai politely pointed out, find it grating.

NDP was also simply pointing out that it is not the norm around here to start swapping email addresses so quickly.

And yes, the name is a bit off putting, I made the same 'conman' connection as soon as I saw it.

On a board with probably 99% female membership, you shouldn't be surprised if people can - and should - be wary.

As for the rest of you, who want to shoot down in flames anyone who dares make a polite suggestion, maybe when you have been around here as long as some of us have you would understand why we try to be careful and - god forbid - show concern.

Even if you were only fishing for e-mail addresses...who cares?

By the way do you call your Parents, Mummy & Daddy?

ConfidenceMan · 27/02/2007 18:49

people should welcome new comers not accuse them of stuff
