My DS loved Haven. I only loved it if we ate out for our evening meal, otherwise it was like being at home with all the cooking and cleaning still to do.
I always booked a modern, heated right through caravan.
I preferred Butlins with their nicest accommodation and half board catering option. Felt more of a break for me, and I spent less money than at Haven.
Camping with friends - good fun with company
Disneyland Paris - both loved it.
I've also done a lot of weekend breaks with National Holidays with my DS. I like that it's all organised for me and paid for in one go, and all I need to do is turn up for the coach. Lots of kiddy friendly weekends eg thomasland, lego land, theatre shows, peppa pig world, etc.
We've also done a couple of cheap all inclusive abroad holidays too to Majorca and Tunisia.
I'd say book whatever you fancy and enjoy. My DS is autistic and a lot of peoople have said to me that I'm brave or that they wouldn't holiday in my shoes on my own but we've always had a ball! I take some books for the evening IF he nods off before me.
