Is there a right time? New dp and I have been together since the end of December. I am moving house soon and the new house means that they could bump into each other. Not very likely but that would be the worst thing I think.

Is it too soon? I've known him for about 4 years and we work for the same company. It feels right IYSWIM. My children arent daft and already suspect something!

3 months isn't very long really. I don't think there is anything wrong with telling them you have a male friend or that you are dating, but too early for introductions.

If they accidentally bump into him without you they won't know who each other is, if you are there he should respect your boundaries.

Thank you. I think its too soon but it also feels right.

I hadnt thought about telling them I am dating. That is a great idea...

I met my 2yo dss after 2/3 months of dating dh. Yes, it was soon but likewise it felt right and our families actually knew each other even though we had not met directly.

Anyway, here we are 10 years later, married for 8 and dss lives with us too. Smile

Introduce him as a friend. Keep it low key for a while x

How old are your DC, I think this matters in the decision

I agree with Olivia, depends on the age. All our kids, when introduced were 1, 3 and 4 - This was about 4 months in. We'd have waited longer if thy were older.
