I have suggested a need for a co-parenting topic

I am not a lone parent but I am a single parent. It sometimes feels awkward knowing where to post as I do have a co-parenting arrangement so I'm not going through the same stuff as a lot of lone parents have to put up with.

It still has it's issues though. Dealing with the other parent is difficult, the relationship can be toxic and there are all kinds of issues concerning the working out of the (often complex) arrangements, finances (or lack of if you don't get maintenance), effects on the children etc.

Does any one who has a co-parenting relationship think it would be worth having a separate thread?

Hi am just about to embark on co-parenting arrangement with (soon to be ex) partner. I would certainly welcome such a thread as I can imagine there will be specific issues.

Yes please! Like Wine, I'm about to embark on attempting to co-parent with my ex. Even at this early stage we're running into all manner of questions and issues.

I'd love this. I've been co-parenting for a few years now, and haven't found many other people in the same circumstances, and would love to swap helpful hints/moans! Whenever I come onto the Lone parents talk board there doesn't seem to be a lot of action :-/

I agree im not a lone parent as im married but i cooparent with ex which can have it challenges

I am a totally lone parent and I agree there are different issues depending on whether you have an ex in the picture or not.

I've begun co-parenting in the last 7 months after separating from ex (dirty cheating bastard, but still very much there for the kids and has always been a very involved dad).

I'm not a lone parent, so feel like a fraud in that respect - I have not been completely left in the lurch (yet!) - it feels like I would be undermining people who are genuinely on their own when I have comparatively petty rants iyswim.

I am also about to embark in this co-parenting nightmare... :(

Yes, this is my situation too, so would be great. I brought DS1 up as a LP; now DS2's dad and I co parent. Although he can be v.v.v. annoying, I must confess he's been a godsend these last few days, as I've been ill.
