Hi I'm due in court in a few weeks (ex wanting access even though I've never denied him) but i have no one to pick my son up from school or anyone to look after my 4 month old baby.

Does anyone know what my options are if I have no childcare please?

Thank you Minnie.

Yes I have screen shots of his texts telling me he's suicidal and unsure whether he's having a breakdown. I will print them out and take them to court with me.

If a parent wanted to see their children surely they would do anything. I know I would. My 5 month old obviously last saw his father when he was just weeks old. It is truely sad that he has no idea who he is. So with that in mind and his young age the contact would surely have to be built up over time?

Thanks for all positive advice.

Yes I have a solicitor acting in my behalf. I will ask for my ex to undergo a psychiatric assessment.

Court went well and gave me some faith in the legal system!

Turns out the safety of my children is paramount just like I've stated all along.

So please anyone in similar situations to myself belief in yourself and what is right for your children.

My ex looked like an idiot in court!x

Hi charlybear7. Sorry, I have only just joined this thread. So pleased to hear it went well. I am going through something similar and my next court date is Friday. Just wondering what to expect. Third hearing: have a solicitor this time...

With my case an agreement was made before entering the courtroom when my ex could see the children. Then the court agreed to what had been previously discussed with social services involvement, to which they advised what contact was suitable (which is what I had stated 4 months previous).

How old are your children?x

Mine are 6 and 3. There has been, since the first court hearing in August, built up supported weekend contact starting with 2 hours each day, then 3, then 4 etc.
While this has gone well for the most part there are concerns around certain aspects ie, him promising our 6 year old a mobile for conversations "only with daddy", holding onto their possessions and telling them they are only for when they go to his, trying to arrange Christmas behind my back with certain members of his trouble making family who have been too by cafcass that they need to apply to the courts to make arrangements for contact.
