Ex hasnt told his mum.....

Hey,

My ex dumped me about a month/2 months ago, and I have been generally devastaed/zombieish!

I saw his mum in town today (she is a nice lady), and she invited me and my LO to hers, as she hasn't seen him for ages, I didn't mind, as she deserves to see him grow up, and shes nice and friendly, etc.

But she was saying things that confused me, she told me she's bought me a christmas present and is looking forward to seeing me on christmas day (half don't mind that as i was going to take him over to see Ex's family)

but she has asked me for a picture of me, LO and Ex together to give to her mother )so great grandma)
So am pissed off for him not telling her. I am not a brave enough girl to it, and do not think it is my place to, she's not my mum!

Anyone who is still reading - what the hell should i do??

You should tell your ex to square things with his mum. It's totally not up to you, and frankly you have other shit to deal with anyway. Is he out of your house now koshka? I so hope he is.

Bloody hell why are some of these men so inadequate?

My ex did this. He disappeared and his mum rang up about three weeks later and spoke to my idiot brother who of course has about as much tact as a tactless person on his most tactless day. "Er.. they've split up... he's moved out... didn't he tell you? No, I don't know where he is... no-one knows..." etc.

Nice way to find out. What an arse. But I think you've got to tell her otherwise she'll wonder why you didn't tell her and impute bad motives to it.

I never thought that she would think i did it for a bad reason....oh sugar...

It's just that MILs usually impute a bad motive, so ex-MILs are even worse...!!

suppose, i forget most of the time shes a mil - she hates my ex its actually quite worrying, something bad happened but my x wouldnt tell me, just said he was kicked out when 15, and hasnt been back since
