Can I have some perspective on sorting out my life?

Hi all,
I'm a lone parent to dd aged 2.5, and I'm a first year social work student.
Here's the thing: I absolutely hate my degree course. I'm say in a lecture now thinking 'why am I here?!!!'

I wanted to be a nurse and after trying extremely hard I've got a place on a nursing degree course but it doesn't start until September.

Dd goes to nursery four full days and loves it, so it would be unfair to drop out and become a SAHM plus I don't enjoy it so it's not a option.

So am I crazy, to be sat here thinking why am I here I could be out working in a job ie care home to get experience to become a really great nurse.

Or am I just going to have to suck up my lot and sit on this degree until sept?

what are the financial implications of leaving? will you still need to pay? is the childcare based on you being a student? can this eyar count towards some of first year nursling course?
could you get a job and work til sept? is your place in sept gauranteed?

My student finance would all be taken away yes, but I could manage financially and my place is garunteed
