where do i start? how on earth do i meet a good ,intelligent , decent bloke? briefly tried internet dating. not impressed! any ideas??

hi, I don't know where to find the perfect guy but I met my boyfriend on a chat site not a dating site, I don't have babysitter so can't go out to bars and pubs. can you? have you tried that?

don't know zippadee - I haven't had much luck. I've done speed dating, internet dating, had friends set me up, done evening classes & even took up thai boxing!!!! In the last 3 years since ex-H left, I've had a few flings & one 10 month relationship.
How old are you? I'm 37 & am now of the opinion that I have to wait a few more years for more divorces!!!!!!

hi everyone, thanks for messages. am 44 and luckily can go out except there is not alot of great places to go where i am . without spending 40 quid on a taxi (and the rest!) ive run out of options. am happy to live on my own but it would be good to go out with someone. not destined to be a nun!!

internet dating.......minefield! I have learned my lesson. but where do I meet someone who doesn't booze up all the time or worse? someone with a decent job, ambition, humour, brains, patience and free weekends!
this is my first posting on here, why does it always come round to a total lack of men!!!
I am in fact really quite happy.
