Hi all,

My 11 month old has been a great sleeper up until now. Usually goes to bed 6/6.30 and wakes 6/6.30am. Was taking 3 naps a day around 40 mins each which dropped to 2 naps at 1 hour each.
However the past month he has been.waking earlier and earlier, 5am, 4am and even 2am! He also won't nap longer than 20 mins, twice a day. He is clearly not ready to wake up as he is still so tired and tries rocking back and fore in his cot to get back to sleep but just can't seem to manage it, which results in a grumpy, tired boy all day. I've tried leaving him to put himself back to sleep and also tried soothing him but not picking him up. What else could I try and did anyone else have this trouble?? Any advice greatly aprpriciated

Is he warm enough at night? Have you tried upping his calories in the day? There are some tips on sleep hereSmile

As for the naps, could he be ready to move to one long nap after lunch? I'd try to crack the naps first as sleep can often breed sleep. Could you give him his lunch today, change him, offer his usual milk feed then take him out for a long walk?

He is always toasty warm, he's a warm baby. I do usually take him for a walk after lunch, he won't nap in his pram anymore either. I have dropped one nap, he was having three naps. I'm not sure I could drop the morning nap as he is usually falling over tired by 9am if he hasn't taken a nap. I will look
