Tonight I have a parents evening at dd's high school.. Starting yr 7 in sept.. Exh & his very young girlfriend (not ow) are going!! Confused

I'm 40 short & fat.. She's 26.. Tall & slim.. Confused

It's going to be one of the worse evenings of my life isn't it?!!

If I had money if hire a young gorgeous male escort but I'm skint !!

Think of me lone parents won't you.

Feel free to come on later for a bitch grumble.

She might be 26 tall and slim but she might also have the face of pig!
Good luck.

Littlemiss that made me laugh! Grin

Will think of you rainbow!

rainbowfeet · 09/07/2014 16:34

Ha ha... Dd calls her the walking carrot!!.. Too much fake tan.

Of course I as much as I want to laugh I have to stifle it & tell her not to be rude. Wink

Please post a follow up! I really want to know what happened.

My ex has a girlfriend like this. We get on like a house on fire me and his new boss partner. I like her, even though she is younger and prettier.

frames · 09/07/2014 22:26

Really, you get on dwerf? I don't geddit, how my ex does what he is told with new gf....face like back of bus, nasty toenails, too much slap...she sayes jump...he sayes how high. And I am shocked. Dd just isn't interested in either of them.

Celynfour · 09/07/2014 22:40

Why oh why is he taking his girlfriend to your daughters year 7 occasion??
Will never understand. It's about his daughter not his girlfriend....in danger of ranting so owl merely wish you all the best for the evening!

Celynfour · 09/07/2014 22:41

Not owl I will

rainbowfeet · 10/07/2014 08:41

It was pretty awful.. She was being way over familiar with dd.. Trying to make jokes etc.. Dd isn't rude but just not really interesting in engaging with her. The gf was the same when exh & I were discussing his family the gf kept throwing in comments & opinions & then a remark about when she was chatting to my ex mil ... I did chuckle to myself at her insecurity!! And the way she grabbed hold of exh arm on the walk from car park to school... I felt like saying 'you don't have to hang on to him you know, you're welcome to him'!!!

Then came the usual comments that make me Angry.. First they couldn't get away fast enough after the open evening..despite earlier saying they'd take dd for dinner! Hate the look of disappointment in her face.
Then the gf comment about the school planning trips to Asia & Australia in the next few years.. "Oh I doubt we could afford half the cost of those"!!!!!!! AngryAngryAngry

In fairness I understand him bringing her as it's an hours journey each way so I generally encourage them to make an evening of things with dd. but obviously this time they had more important things to do.

The way they were so engrossed in each other did really give me a new way of looking at my life... I've been very down lately & feeling worthless.. But it showed me how important my role is & that dd needs me just as much now as she did as a young child. That's far more important than being someone's gf.

Looking to the future now.. No more negativity.

Frames to be fair, we've been split for years. I met both of his previous girlfriends (including his second wife) and got on okay with them too. But I really like this new one. It's odd because for years I didn't get on with him though we're past that now.

Rainbow sounds like she was nervous as hell at meeting you, and a little determined to 'mark her territory'.

I've always found it a bonus to get on with my exes women, firstly because it makes life easier, and secondly because you can gang up on the bloke and then he pretty much has to toe the line. Grin

rainbowfeet · 10/07/2014 14:43

It wasn't our 1st meeting, she didn't make any effort to be friendly then.. Tbh I think she's just a rude cow!!

Dd has it all sussed like most kids they are very good at reading people.. All I've ever said is if your Dad allows gf to manipulate him & come between you he's just as much in the wrong!!

Ah rainbow, thanks for sharing :-) Ex h gf is very controlling, and has his life mapped out. They are always draped over each other, Dd was keen at first, and it upset me, but after a few visits the novelty wore off. My ex MIL, we got on well, but I know she likes playing people off against each other, so I am finding it tricky to balance keeping in touch, with moving on.
