Should I have said this to DD?

DD (6) likes to co-sleep still. She said she wasn't allowed to sleep in dad's bed when she last stayed because his (female) friend was staying. I said, oh that would be his GF.

The name was of the OW he left me for.

Should I have said to DD that it was his GF? My thought was say it as it is, and also I don't want DD thinking that adults share with other adults who were just friends IWSWIM.

What else could you have said? She is is GF, and she's sharing his bed. That's OK. It would be a problem (IMO) if it was a different GF every week, but adults who are in a relationship share a bed.

Thanks. DD was just a bit surprised as she was just told 'friend.'
Doubting myself as xp can be an arse about the smallest things sometimes.

This means absolutely nothing to a six year old so I really wouldn't worry at all. I personally think that as adults we agonise over putting labels on things but they really don't understand.
