Moving to new area for schools

Hi there. Am new to this so apologies in advance if anything is wrong!

I'm wanting to move to Colchester for the better primary schools. I currently work in London and a decent salary. However, if I continue to work there or choose to work locally, either way I will have child minding fees to pay.

I'm at a total loss as to what to do. I want the best for my daughter but at the same time, I'd like some money for us to actually have a life.

Both options would leave me with £50 per week for food, clothing, days out etc.

Are there other single parents out there in the same position? What did you do/are doing?

Any advice would be appreciated. I get no money from the absent father as that is definitely a no go area.

Thank you for reading.

You could try finding someone to house share with or there seem to be a fair few single parent families looking to house share? I'm becoming interested in this option as it could also help with childcare issues to an extent!
Remember at 3 they get 15hrs free which will help Smile

Sadly when the NRP doesn't pull their weight in childcare/maintenance fees the child misses out on food/clothing/days out Sad All the more annoying as the NRP is usually doing it to punish the parent left doing the parenting.
