I know this sounds stupid but ..... do any of you get nervous before a night out ? My dm has dd overnight roughly every 2 or 3 months so I get a night out. But I get so nervous when Im about to go out. Feel like I stick out like a sore thumb, dont have the right clothes look a mess. My friends drink shots an drinks ive never heard of. I know I need to get a grip im lucky im goin out but cant shake the feeling off.

Pretty normal imo, i'm the same..

I spend ages trying to decide what to wear, everything looks rubbish at the time, suddenly realize how old i look, hair looks crap etc etc
It's because when you don't go out much, it not only means a lot, but it's basically something you're not used to in surroundings you're not used to.

Bugger it, just try and enjoy your evenings' freedom, that's the main thing - i find a Voddie helps while getting ready Smile

I had issues with anxiety after my break up but got it under control pretty quickly. It did rare it's ugly head from time to time though and nights out were definitely a trigger. I started to make sure I spent my free time with the people I felt most happy, relaxed and confident around and the anxiety seems to have disappeared.

It's not a nice feeling but don't let it hold you back. You deserve a night off, make the most of it.
