Well I am considering going abroad alone with dd 6, I normally go with my mum and her partner but my mum doesn't seem to be talking to me at the moment.

My best friend who is also a single parent cannot afford a holiday this year and my other friends will be going with partners etc and I'm not really close enough to them to go away with them anyway.

I really could do with having a week in the sun, I am considering going alone with dd but I feel like it could be stressful at the airport etc and I will feel like a loner when dd is off playing and I feel like maybe dd won't have a lot of fun with just is two!

I'm not sure if I'm brave enough Grin

Go for it, you will not regret it! I was so apprehensive and nervous the first time I went to Disneyland Paris alone with my 3.5 year old DS. We had such a wonderful time and met great parents and children. We have since been 4 more times to disneyland paris and each time, we come back having had a fab time:) My DS and I also went to Italy last year, we had such a fantastic holiday. The gondola trip I will always remember. Prior to your first holiday as a lone parent, it's natural to feel somewhat nervous but once you go, you will never look back. Instead you will be planning your next holiday:) Good luck!
