It'll be lonely this Christmas!!.. Sad

I am very lucky to have dc's for Christmas Eve & day & we are going to friends tomorrow, I was on a real high a few days ago, proud that I'd done so much for them on my own & convinced we'd have such a jolly time but fuck right now I feel like the only single person in the world!!
Normally if I'm feeling low I'll comfort eat but I've no appetite just want to take to my bed & cry!! Sad

"Lonely this Christmas" was the 1974 Christmas no1 for Mud.

Not Elvis.

Grin @ meditrina.

But yes OP i feel the same. However my best friend isnt even getting to have her ds with her tonight or tomorrow and isnt going anywhere either. She will be completely alone. Sad she says she will be fine but i feel so much for her. I wish someone amazing would come into her life and treat her well.

Her dcs not just her ds.

I know there are lots of lone parents on their own completely & I feel very lucky I have my 2 with me.. Time of year though makes a lonely person feel more lonely Hmm

I've been at a friend's house for lunch today. Both her and another friend had had arguments with their DPs this morning. I was thinking myself lucky to be single! However rainbowfeet I may feel differently tomorrow when DS goes to his dad's and I go to a friend's house, all couples and children.

Last year I managed to spend Xmas with just the DC's, it was much better than I expected.

This year I have to see my sister, we've already had one text message 'row' and a phone call to mum to warn her Hmm. I'm pencilling in a run before Xmas dinner and a walk with the DC's afterwards. Ah, families, don'cha just love em.

I hear you op. I'm on my own as well. My dc off to their dad's tomorrow and I'm working then I'm going to relatives. All couples and kids. But hey ho!!
