I think last year it was something ridiculous like 5am. So, this year I have devised a cunning plan to stay in bed longer.
I am next to useless before my morning coffee so I am taking a flask up to bed (inspired by a thread here on LP) and putting ds's stocking in his room instead of downstairs so he can come into my bed to open it whilst I slowly come alive.
The best bit though is that I have individually wrapped all the crappy little bits and pieces so it takes him longer to open. Xmas Grin

Get up at 5am do presents, go for a long walk/bike ride then back for breakfast and a nap before lunch.

I like the idea of wrapping all the little bits (I do that too) but find it still doesn't take longer than 20 mins to open the lot.

20 extra minutes will suit me fine. Sadly I seem to have loss the ability to nap during the day Sad.
Am hosting for the first time ever and don't want to be flagging too early!

Last year my son woke up coughing ( he was poorly) so got him into my bed and he slept later...not ideal but did work.

May not work at Xmas but I use DVD on laptop in my bed and biscuits for breakfast when emergency lie in is required.
