on Friday evening til lunch Saturday....this is the first time I will be childless in a year since my son slept at his nan's house! (he's 9)
I don't have any friends (literally none!) and im single, so I have no one to go out with. I feel like I should be making the most of the freedom, but I know i'll be parked on the sofa with a dvd and a bottle of wine.
I do love being single, I really do enjoy just having to think about my DS....I just wish I was better at making friends! maybe then at the very least I could have someone to watch the dvd with!
ho hum!

any local cinema clubs where you see the film then discuss it over a drink afterwards?

I know in my area there is a website for single people looking to meet friends. They arrange cinema trips, pub nights, theatre nights, comedy nights, hiking etc - it sounds really good for people looking to expand their social life for whatever reason. I can't for the life of me remember what it is called. I'll have a google. Maybe there is something similar near you.

Meant to say - it isn't about meeting up one on one with people - more that a group of people who for whatever reason (relocation etc) don't know anyone in their local area, and a big group meet up.

Hope you enjoyed your night. If it makes you feel any better I don't really have any friends either. St least none who I don't need to book six months in advance!
