If a new partner moves in but is not working yet what benefits do you claim, jobseekers allowance or income support?? i have two children. I am on income support my new partner is on jobseekers allowance which one would we be able to make a joint claim??

Has anyone done this before just wondering what happens.

if you live with a partner you cannot continue claiming IS. you/partner would have to claim jobseekers as a family and at least one of you would have to sign on and be actively looking for work.
